Our founder, Darshana Muzumdar, was given the honour to inaugurate a new gaushala. This gaushala was going to be founded for commercial gains and has now been transformed into one that we hope will be a model for others. They will no longer milk cows as was planned before. This is our first achievement of sensitising farmers towards animal rights and bringing them into the movement.
Farmers are just as trapped by #socialconditioning as consumers are and the cognitive dissonance is just the same, too. But they’re also just as open to change when made aware about it.
We hope to bring about change for animals by focusing on the point of production rather than the point of consumption.
